HVAC concept · Lehigh Acres

The brief
What we built.
A concept rebuild for a two-owner AC company whose honest $95 diagnostic was buried on a free Google Sites page. A concept we built unprompted, to show what the site could be; not affiliated with the business.
- The $95 price tag hanging on the unit in the hero
- Senior and military discounts up front, beside “Two owners. One promise.”
- One glowing line of air that draws itself through the services and “How a call goes” steps
- 17 pages with full search markup. Google mobile speed 57 to 99

The business
Who we were dealing with.
A locally owned and operated two-owner HVAC company in Lehigh Acres offering residential and commercial AC installation, repair, ductwork and maintenance.
Their brand as it was
- "JH" monogram logo with an air-swoosh wave in teal and blue
- Plain-spoken, locally owned tone
- Old site was a free Google Sites page with plain text blocks and a dark stock photo
Worth knowing
- Two co-owners with over 30 years of combined HVAC experience
- $95 service call including diagnostics
- 10% off for seniors and 15% off for military and veterans
- Installs Trane, Goodman, Ruud and Day & Night
- Financing offered through a third-party lender
- Hours Mon-Fri 9-5, weekends by appointment, plus 24-hour emergency service
The research
How we studied the industry, top to bottom.
Why this business
- Scored 57 on Google's mobile performance test
- Built on a free Google Sites page with no schema and no meta description
- Strong offers (a $95 diagnostic, senior and military discounts) hidden in a bullet list
- Nine cities served and no city pages
The industry
- Homeowners facing a broken AC compare price and trust quickly; no competitor in the area shows prices
- Customers search by service plus city (for example AC repair Naples or LaBelle), so city pages decide who gets found
- Emergency availability and clear discounts are decision factors
The local market
- Nine cities across four counties: Lehigh Acres, LaBelle, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, North Fort Myers, Punta Gorda, Estero, Bonita Springs, Naples
- Notes say no competitor in the area shows prices, which is the opening for a transparency angle
What we found
- Put the $95 diagnostic and discounts in the hero
- Build city pages for the main markets plus a hub for all nine cities
- Add business schema, meta descriptions and an estimate form
- Show the two owners and the maintenance checklist
- Replace the Gmail-only, form-less contact path with an estimate form
The audit
What was holding it back.
Tested 2026-10-25
- First paint 4.2 s
- Main content loaded in 5.8 s
- Layout shift 0.224 (poor; the page jumps while loading)
- A free Google Sites page: five pages of plain text blocks, a dark stock photo and a giant logo filling the second phone screen
- Best selling points buried in a bullet list: $95 diagnostic, 10% senior and 15% military discounts, four major brands, 24-hour emergency service
- No business schema and no meta description, so nothing for Google to read
- Nine cities across four counties with zero city pages
- No reviews, no photos of their work, no booking or estimate form; contact is a free email address
- Layout shift of 0.224 as the page loads
- To be fair, the phone number is tappable and accessibility scored 100; the site simply did nothing to sell the business
Brand & design
Honest Air direction.
Transparency is the hero: the $95 service call appears as a big price tag in the hero, and one continuous glowing airflow line, echoing their logo swoosh, draws itself down the whole page like ductwork, ending at the phone number. It suits a shop that shows its prices when competitors do not.

- Slate 2#172741
- Electric teal#19C3B4
- Mint#7FF0DD

- Signal orange#FF8A3D
Type
- Barlow: bold modern headlines and numerals
- Inter: clean body text
Signature moments
- Orange $95 price tag that swings on its string in the hero
- Continuous glowing airflow line that draws itself as you scroll, with city pins along it
- Offers strip with count-up numbers: $95 service call, 10% seniors, 15% military
- "Two owners. One promise." with giant J and H letters as windows onto photos of hands at work
- Residential/Commercial toggle and an animated tune-up checklist
- Pricing page styled like a receipt; nine-city map with lighting pins; glowing footer phone number
Imagery
- Generated golden-hour photography with no visible faces: hero side yard, hands with gauges, hands fitting ductwork, dusk footer, AC unit, price tag cut-out
- Owners shown as a from-behind placeholder photo; no generated faces of real people
- Service and city images in the same photo style
- Airflow line, $95 numerals, J/H windows, map, form and JH logo (redrawn as SVG) built in code
Four directions across two rounds: v1 Honest Air (8/10, a candidate), then v2A Honest Air Refined, v2B Blueprint and v2C The Receipt. v2A was approved.
Under the hood
How it is built.
Built to convert
- Tap-to-call and sticky call bar on mobile
- Estimate form that opens an email with the fields filled in
- $95 diagnostic, senior and military discounts and financing link front and centre
- Seven service pages including 24-hour emergency, air purifiers and commercial
- City pages for Lehigh Acres, Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Naples plus a 9-city service-area hub
- Pricing, discounts and financing page
- FAQ on the homepage and service pages
- Southwest Florida county map with real outlines
Built to rank
- HVACBusiness schema with address, geo, opening hours and offer catalog
- Service, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, Person and credential schema
- Service and city pages with meta descriptions
Built to be fast
- Self-hosted fonts (Barlow, Inter)
- Static pre-built pages
- Art converted and compressed for speed
- Airflow line is code (SVG), not an image; motion respects reduced-motion settings
Good to know
- Two runs: 98/100/100/100 then 99/100/100/100 (the second was used on camera)
- Their accessibility was already 100 before
- Owner photo is a from-behind placeholder; real photos needed
- A concept built unprompted: the business did not commission it, and the details (reviews, photos, prices) would be confirmed with the owner before any launch.
